Rory McIlroy might have achieved the Dubai double with TaylorMade, but Titleist was on the top step of the manufacturers’ podium, having been confirmed as the overwhelming number one ball and the most played driver, iron, and wedge for the 2024 DP World Tour season.

Titleist PRO V1 – How Has The Best Ball In Golf Got Better?
After a year that included 38 events across four different continents, more players put their faith in Titleist than any other brand. Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x continued to be trusted by the world’s best throughout the season, with 72% of players opting to play the number one ball in golf, six times more than its nearest competitor, which came in at 12%. Some of the winners across the season included Niklas Norgaard (Pro V1), who earned his maiden Tour victory at the Betfred British Masters; Robert MacIntyre (Pro V1), who won on home soil at the Genesis Scottish Open; and Matt Wallace (Pro V1x), who triumphed in the Swiss Alps at the Omega European Masters. There were also wins in the Majors, with the Masters champion using his Pro V1 to earn a second Green Jacket and the U.S. Open champion relying on his Pro V1x Left Dash to secure victory at Pinehurst No. 2.
GT METALS
During the summer, Titleist introduced their latest GT metals, which continued Titleist’s success story, as it became the most played driver model (37%) on the DP World Tour. Winners included Julien Guerrier (GT3) at the Andalucía Masters, the champion of the BMW International Open (GT2), and Billy Horschel, who won the flagship event on the DP World Tour at the BMW PGA Championship after relying on the fine-tuned performance of his GT3 driver.
“It feels more solid to me,” said Horschel. “I know where the ball is better… Even the ones I missed, the dispersion is still tight. We haven’t lost anything. It’s faster; the spin rate is more consistent.”
IRONS
Titleist’s silverware story continues, as their irons were also the most played on the DP World Tour, trusted by the likes of Norgaard, Antoine Rozner, and Matteo Manassero, who each secured PGA Tour cards through their final Race to Dubai standings. Norgaard and Manassero both climbed from outside the top 300 to within the top 90 in the Official World Golf Ranking after signing with Titleist. Titleist irons were played a total of 1,829 times this season, compared to 1,245 for the nearest competitor.
VOKEY SM10
This year also saw the launch of the SM10 Vokey Design Wedges, which were debuted by players at the Dubai Invitational in January. David Ravetto (D+D Real Czech Masters), Byeong Hun An (Genesis Championship), and Manassero (Jonsson Workwear Open) were among those who relied on the spin and versatility of their SM10 Vokey Wedges as they all added their names to the 2024 winner’s circle. Alongside being the most played wedge throughout the season, with 47% of the season count (nearest competitor 20%), Vokey also earned three Major titles (The Masters, PGA Championship, and Open Championship), with the victors all using at least two Vokey Design Wedges as they etched their names into the history books.
PGA TOUR DOMINANCE
It is not just on the DP World Tour where the brand has had such success. On the PGA Tour, Titleist was the most played ball (70%), driver (37%), hybrid (42%), utility iron (52%), irons (32%), and wedge (54%), as more players used Titleist equipment over the course of the 2024 FedEx Cup season than any competitor.
