The 15th hole on the Earth course is a short but deceptively tricky hole that has played a key role in deciding the fates of many past champions over the years during the season-ending flagship event on the European Tour.
If you get your drive away on this short par 4, the 15th presents you with a good birdie opportunity. However be warned – if you take too much on you can easily find yourself in one of the seven bunkers on this short hole. Greg Norman’s placement of bunkers in the middle of the fairway forces you to make the decision whether to lay up with a long iron, or go-for-broke and elect to hit a driver from the tee box.
Take the aggressive line or play safe? Like many holes on the Earth course, the 15th will force the golfer to make key strategic decisions, just as it does with the best players during the DP World Tour Championship.
