A tradition unlike any in mainstream sport, the reigning Masters winner hosts the annual Champions Dinner on the Tuesday evening ahead of the tournament, choosing his own menu to serve to all the previous champions of the event.
The room in which the dinner is held might be due an extension soon, given the recent spate of first-time winners. Since Phil Mickelson won his third Green Jacket in 2010 there have been seven new seats to accommodate with Bubba Watson the only multiple winner during that period.
Patrick Reed has already revealed what he is going to serve, a hearty meal of bone-in rib eye steak, mac and cheese, creamed spinach and creamed corn. Should diners not wish to eat Reed’s menu they can choose from the traditional Masters Menu.
Match the Masters Winner with their Champions Dinner menu:
- Caesar salad, grilled chicken breast, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn, mac and cheese, cornbread.
- Cheeseburgers, french fries, milkshakes.
- Fish and chips, tomato soup.
- Haggis, mashed potatoes, mashed turnips.
- Chicken panang curry, Chilean sea bass, rack of lamb in yellow curry sauce, sea scallops in a pepper garlic sauce.
- Sunday Roast – prime rib, roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding.
