History will be made at Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic

Excitement is building for golf fans in Dubai with the emirate set to host the greatest female players on the planet at next month’s Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic -the world’s first professional day-night golf tournament.

From 1-3 May the iconic Emirates Golf Club, which also hosts Omega Dubai Desert Classic in January, will be home to the groundbreaking tournament with the stars of the Ladies European Tour going head-to-head over 54 holes at the floodlit Faldo Course, which is designed by six-time Major champion Sir Nick Faldo.

Joining the 35 leading players on the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit, will be 21 tournament invitees from other tours and social media sensations who will make up the field when play tees off on May 1. After the first round has come to a close, the professional golfers will be allocated a team of three amateurs to play with over the next two rounds in the exciting new format before pro individual and pro/am team winners are crowned.

“We think playing under lights is going to be absolutely awesome! Playing the tournament in May and under lights further showcases what an incredible golfing destination Dubai has become and how long our golfing season lasts each year.” – David Spencer, Tournament Director.

With free entry into Emirates Golf Club over the three days of enthralling action, fans are encouraged to come and watch the female stars in this historic event.
