Brooks Koepka in search of three-peat at US Open

Brooks Koepka will be bidding to become the first man since Willie Anderson in 1905 to win three US Open’s on the trot when he tees off at Pebble Beach, California on Thursday. The big hitting American has quickly become the man to beat in the Major Championships having converted a staggering four of his last eight Major starts into victory, including successfully defending the PGA Championship last month at the notoriously difficult Bethpage Black. Here we take a look at what his fellow peers had to say about the 29 year old.

“Everybody knows he’s very cool, calm, collected. He’s got one of the best swaggers out here, especially when he’s playing well. He’s obviously very confident." - Justin Thomas

“He obviously gets into these mindsets for the Majors, and he really gets into a different sort of state. It’s awesome. It’s great to watch.” - Rory McIlroy

“I play a lot of golf with him and he's one of my good buddies. He’s one of the guys I have to beat so I've always got my eye on him.” - Dustin Johnson

“Well, it has to come to an end eventually, that good front-running - let's hope it doesn't last 12 years like Tiger's front-running lasted.” - Adam Scott
