TaylorMade goes ultra-premium with P790 Ti

After the incredible success of the P790 range, TaylorMade has enhanced their iron game to appeal to the upscale golf consumer and they insist the new P790 Ti is the ‘most premium iron’ they have ever created. After the culmination of four decades of golf research, the P790 Ti comprises the most advanced materials to deliver outstanding ball speed and breakthrough distance, while the club is flawlessly designed with a hollow titanium body injection and a tungsten insert. While there are many forged hollow-body irons on the market, the TaylorMade Ti irons are the first hollow-body titanium irons which bring game-improving performance to the P series in a players’-style iron, which is a unique approach for the brand.

Compared to the original P790 iron, the Ti has a 2mm longer blade length, 2mm taller face and half a millimetre more offset, with a slightly wider sole for extra forgiveness. These irons also have more bounce to help them work through the turf more smoothly.

Titanium body (9-1-1 Ti) and machined 6-4 titanium (6-4 Ti) form a super lightweight hollow body iron designed to deliver explosive distance and forgiveness.

Extreme tungsten weighting (up to 119g) locked into the back bar of each iron, engineered to enable a high launch, low spin trajectory to maximise distance.

TaylorMade Ultra-light urethane foam injected inside the head to push the design limits of face speed while simultaneously improving feel.

Speed Pocket

The thru-slot increases flexibility in the lower portion of the clubface for improved forgiveness and consistency.

Stock shafts include two of the hottest shafts in golf; the NS Pro 950GH NEO in steel and the MCA MMT in graphite.

The new P790 irons are designed for consumers who are prepared to pay extra for maximum performance to kickstart their game into new beginnings in 2020 and from what we’ve seen, they’re worth every penny.
