Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry clinched their first PGA Tour titles of the season at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
In a thrilling final round, McIlroy and Lowry posted a four-under 68, sealing it with a crucial birdie on the 18th hole to force a sudden death playoff against Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer, who had held an early clubhouse lead at 25-under.
Returning to the 18th for the playoff, McIlroy and Lowry secured victory with a par, while Ramey and Trainer stumbled with a bogey, sealing their triumph.
