Dubai based sustainable clothing company Reflo partners with Kane

Reflo, a sustainable performance wear brand from Dubai, has announced its partnership with Harry Kane, England’s all-time highest goal-scorer. The partnership marks an exciting collaboration that aims to bridge the gap between sport and sustainability, championing high-performance apparel that doesn’t sacrifice the planet in its production.

Kane, a scratch golfer, initially wore the brand at while playing The Icons Series but has since worn Reflo behind the scenes for over a year.

The Bayern Munich striker will become a golf ambassador for the brand officially during off-field activities away from club and country duties.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the team here at Reflo. Their dedication to sustainability and performance in golf is inspiring, and perfectly aligns with everything that I believe in – both on and off the pitch,” said Kane.

“The right decisions when it comes to creating a sustainable legacy for my family are important, and having tried Reflo for over a year, I know how good they are, and I feel it is going to get bigger as we learn more about making performance-based apparel that is good for the environment.

“As a footballer, I understand the importance of pushing boundaries and setting new standards, and that’s exactly what Rory and the team have shown me. The vision for the brand is incredible, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

Considering Reflo was only formed in November 2021, its growth and reach has been fast tracked due to the brand’s quality but equally was important is consumers awareness of climate impact.

Reflo’s performance wear is predominantly made from recycled polyester, derived from single-use plastic waste destined for landfill which results in its fabrics using 50% less energy and producing 70% less carbon than virgin polyester, requiring no new oil.

Reflo has also pledged to plant 500 trees for every goal that the Bayern Munich and England star scores in the 2023/2024 season.

Having made his professional debut aged 17, Kane has gone on to become England men’s highest goal scorer and second highest goal scorer in the Premier League during his time with Tottenham, whilst making a very positive start in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich this season.

“I first met Harry last summer, when he was wearing Reflo playing golf at the Icons Series. Since then, having kept an open dialogue with Harry and his team, not only do they love the product, but they also truly believe in changing the game when it comes to sustainability and performance in sport,” said Reflo’s co-founder, Rory Macfadyen.

“We have achieved so much in the two years since our launch, and it is an incredibly exciting time for us to welcome Harry into the Reflo family. We can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve got in store as we continue our mission to become the most sustainable performance wear brand in the world.”

“As a footballer, I understand the importance of pushing boundaries and setting new standards, and that’s exactly what Rory and the team have shown me. The vision for the brand is incredible, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
