The PGA Tour is restarting its season on Thursday Jun 11 with four events scheduled in succession behind closed doors. The Charles Schwab Challenge is the first tournament that will be played without spectators and under highly strict safety regulations that include testing for all essential personnel on the ground.
However, in the RBC Heritage the following week, fans have found a loophole for how they can watch some of the action without breaking any rules and can add some atmosphere to an eerie and quiet spectacle.

The Harbour Town Golf Links course weaves through a resort community and is lined with homes, where spectators will be able to watch the golf from their balconies and gardens. Therefore, they have proved a popular place to stay in two weeks time.
“There’s not a home for rent on the golf course,’’ the tournament director Steve Wilmot said in the NY Post. “Everything is rented out. There are people who have rented a home for that week for their family vacation and all of a sudden they’re going to go, ‘Oh, there’s a PGA Tour event in my backyard.’ ”
If you had rented a house there without knowing the RBC Heritage would be held that week, you have your hands on a golden ticket!
Ohio will allow fans at the Memorial
It was announced on Friday that the Ohio government will allow the Memorial Golf Tournament on July 16-19 to have fans spectating at a golf event for the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak.
The tournament director Dan Sullivan made the case that ‘without fans these tournaments will not be successful or viable’ to the governor Mike DeWine and it was approved.
➡ NEW: Two weeks from today, casinos, racinos, amusement parks, and water parks, will be able to open. In addition, we received safety plans for the Memorial Golf Tournament to be held July 13-19. We are approving that plan.
