The UAE’s next set of golfing stars were given an experience they’ll never forget at the DP World Tour Championship as they went behind the scenes of the European Tour’s season-ending finale. Under the guidance of the Emirates Golf Federation, the National Junior Development Program were escorted throughout the grounds of Jumeirah Golf Estates to get a real taste of how the event is run and to see their Race to Dubai idols up close and personal.

EGF’s Membership Sales and Marketing Manager, Robert Fiala, was the leader of the pack as they visited the: Driving Range, Media Center, the iconic 18th green and the entertaining family village with the DP World Booth that features a mini-golf area for the kids to put their own skills to the test.

“This was a great experience for our Foundation Squad and other young members that have grown through the ranks from the Arabic School Golf initiative that started two years ago. This initiative continues to grow and push grass-roots development in this region. Events like this definitely help children’s passion to grow in this sport when they get to witness how the tournament works and what it’s like to be a professional golfer.

Hopefully we’ll see one of these UAE youngsters competing in a prestigious tournament like this ourselves one day…
