DP World Tour Championship to host first ever Ladies Day

Ladies in the UAE are set to take over Friday 19th November at the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai with tournament organisers confirming the international sporting event will host its first ever Ladies Day, with a wide range of fun activities for the ultimate day out.

Ladies attending the event held at Jumeirah Golf Estates– the venue for the European Tour’s season-ending DP World Tour Championship – can look forward to a fun day out with plenty of entertainment both on and off the golf course, including exclusive incentives and rewards throughout the day.

Free tickets along with other hospitality options are now available here for the Rolex Series tournament that will see the 50 highest ranked players on the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex battle for glory on the Earth Course.

All ladies who come through the gates will receive two vouchers that can be redeemed for a prominent grape beverage in the Championship Village from 12.15pm to 6pm.

For those ladies inspired by what they see from the world’s best golf stars on the course, there is an opportunity to learn how to play or improve their technique with a special ladies golf clinic run by KekeStrobach, a female Teaching Professional at the Peter Cowen Academy Dubai.

Running twice a day, at 11am and 3pm on Friday, the clinics will provide an opportunity for ladies at every level to learn the basics of the game with their efforts being rewarded with exciting prizes. Among the prizes up for grabs are 30 minute private lesson, a one month ‘Get into Golf Pass’ (perfect for beginners) and a Haul in One Box worth AED 500.

Ladies Day also offers the perfect opportunity for ladies to put on their best outfit as they all have a chance of winning the ‘Best Dressed as judged by Neon Star’ competition. The lucky winner will win AED 500 gift voucher and an in-store styling session at Neon Star’s flagship boutique at Dubai Marina Mall.

Throughout the day there will be a chance to win more exciting prizes. To enter, ladies must visit the Selfie Photo Booth in the Championship Village, take their best selfie with friends and family, and post it on their Instagram account with the official tournament hashtag #dpwtc.

Tom Phillips, European Tour Head of Middle East, said: “For more than a decade, spectators have been a key part in making the DP World Tour Championship a resounding success and with the return of fans this year, it is only apt to announce our first ever Ladies Day in the history of the tournament.”

“Women’s golf is going from strength to strength and I’m confident that with the support of leading organisations and well-known individuals, it will provide a vibrant atmosphere off the course for the ladies while also inspiring them to play or watch the game. From competitions to golf clinics, as well as watching the world’s best golfers in action, ladies will have plenty to look forward to in what promises to be an unforgettable day out.”

The Ladies Day is part of a packed entertainment schedule with something for every spectator to enjoy throughout the four days.

With the Ultimate Fan Experience ticket, fans can access the 16th Green hospitality lounge, enjoy a BBQ lunch, grab and go breakfast, snacks and beverages and get a perfect view of the elite stars in action. Fans will also get access to a preferential viewing area on the 18th Green and the Clubhouse terrace.
