Eighty-Eight golfers from Azerbaijan and neighbouring countries participated in this twenty two team Golf Tournament.
In perfect weather and course conditions the players enjoyed the very best hospitality from the team at Dreamland Golf Club and Baku City Circuit. With excellent golf being played by all, the team claiming the top honours were Korean Dreamland Golf Club members, Jungwon Choi, Jin Youb Choi,Yung Tae Son, Dong Seok Kwon with a total of 64 shots – net 56.1. Runners Up with a 68 gross- net 59.3 – were David Lawson, John Quinn, Gavin Mackenzie, Alan Ferguson. The final third place team award was given to Darren Thomson, George Ball, Stuart King, Dean McEwan net 60.5 (67 gross)
The side contests resulted in some spectacular golf shots being played by Alistair Macduff at the 4th hole and Dean McEwan at Hole 11, while Scott Bruce secured the Longest Drive at Hole 3 and Darren Thomson achieved his Longest Drive on Hole 10
Commenting on the event afterwards, Bulent Ozerdim, Baku City Circuits Commercial Director said: “It’s our second year of supporting this event; we are delighted to see so many players enjoying the golf tournament and the hospitality of the team here at Dreamland Golf Club. Such events increase the awareness of the race, which is always a great battle between the teams and drivers on our exciting city circuit”.
