Ryder Cup Heroes Return to Dubai for the 2025 DP World Tour Championship

European Ryder Cup heroes Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry and Ludvig Åberg are among the latest stars confirmed for the 2025 DP World Tour Championship, taking place from November 13–16 on the Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates.

They join Dubai residents Laurie Canter and Richard Mansell in a world-class field that already features reigning Masters Champion Rory McIlroy, Tyrrell Hatton, Matt Fitzpatrick, Rasmus Højgaard, Robert MacIntyre, Justin Rose, and 2023 champion Nicolai Højgaard — all members of Europe’s triumphant 2025 Ryder Cup team that claimed a first away victory since 2012.

Fleetwood Returns Home After Stellar Season

Dubai-based Tommy Fleetwood arrives in sparkling form after capturing both his maiden PGA TOUR title and the FedExCup at the TOUR Championship before playing a starring role in Europe’s historic win at Bethpage Black, where he secured four match victories.

Just weeks later, the World Number Five added an eighth DP World Tour title at the DP World India Championship, beating Japan’s Keita Nakajima by two strokes.

“The Earth Course has been my home course for the last three years, so it’s always special to play the DP World Tour Championship somewhere that feels so familiar,” said Fleetwood, who has lived in Dubai since 2022.
“It’s a great test of golf, and the atmosphere is always incredible. Finishing the season in front of family and friends gives me that extra bit of motivation to finish strong.”

Lowry Eyes Dubai Glory After Ryder Cup Heroics

Shane Lowry returns to Dubai after delivering one of Europe’s defining moments at Bethpage Black, securing the vital half-point that retained the Ryder Cup on a tense Sunday singles session.

The Irishman finished third at last year’s DP World Tour Championship and will be looking to claim a seventh DP World Tour title, as well as a second UAE victory following his 2019 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship triumph — a win that preceded his unforgettable Open Championship success at Royal Portrush later that year.

“Dubai has always been a great place to play golf,” said Lowry. “The DP World Tour Championship is the perfect way to finish our season, and I’ll be giving it everything to finish the year on a high.”

Åberg Set for DP World Tour Championship Debut

Sweden’s Ludvig Åberg — one of the brightest young stars in world golf — will make his DP World Tour Championship debut next month. The 25-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise since turning professional in 2023, finishing runner-up in his maiden DP World Tour season before a top-10 at The Masters and back-to-back Ryder Cup victories in 2023 and 2025 under captain Luke Donald.

“I’ve heard great things about the Earth Course from the other guys,” said Åberg. “I’m really looking forward to ending the season in Dubai.”

Dubai’s Own: Canter and Mansell Among Local Contenders

Dubai-based stars Laurie Canter and Richard Mansell will also tee it up after both enjoyed breakthrough seasons on the Race to Dubai.

Canter claimed his second DP World Tour victory at the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship and produced a thrilling tied-second finish at the Genesis Championship, highlighted by a dramatic 100-foot eagle putt on the 18th. Mansell, meanwhile, captured his maiden title at the Porsche Singapore Classic in March.

“Having won in Bahrain earlier this year and now calling Dubai home, I feel like things have really come together nicely,” said Canter.
Mansell added: “Jumeirah Golf Estates is always a fantastic venue, and I’m excited to finish my 2025 season here and carry that momentum into next year.”

Other Dubai residents Johannes Veerman, Ewen Ferguson and Tom McKibbin, currently ranked just outside the top 40 in the Race to Dubai Rankings, will look to secure their spots with strong performances at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship — the first event of the DP World Tour Play-Offs.

Tickets, Hospitality and Sustainability

After last year’s record-breaking crowds, demand for 2025 tickets is already soaring. Fans are urged to book early before prices increase on October 30.

  • Weekend tickets start from AED 160

  • Thursday and Friday entry is free of charge

Premium options include Ticket+, Earth Lounge, and Championship Chalet packages — though availability is limited, with Sunday hospitality already sold out.

Due to ongoing development at Jumeirah Golf Estates, public parking will be limited. A nominal parking fee of AED 50 (advance) or AED 80 (on-site) will apply from November 13–16, with proceeds supporting UAE sustainability initiatives.
