World’s best confirmed for DP World Tour Championship in Dubai

The line-up for the 2025 DP World Tour Championship is taking shape, with Marco Penge, Kristoffer Reitan, Haotong Li and Tyrrell Hatton the latest players confirmed for the season-ending Rolex Series event at Jumeirah Golf Estates, November 13–16.

The quartet will join defending champion and current Race to Dubai leader Rory McIlroy, meaning the entire top five in the Race to Dubai Rankings is now set to battle for the prestigious Harry Vardon Trophy on the Earth course.

Penge enjoying breakthrough campaign

Englishman Marco Penge has been one of the standout performers of 2025. Having only just retained his card last season, the 27-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable turnaround, securing his maiden title at the Hainan Classic before adding the Danish Golf Championship to his résumé. A runner-up finish at the Genesis Scottish Open further underlined his progress, sealing the Closing Swing title and his first appearance in the DP World Tour Play-Offs.
“It has been an incredible season for me,” Penge reflected. “To go from simply keeping my card to competing for the Harry Vardon Trophy in Dubai is something I could only have imagined.”

Reitan breaks new ground for Norway

Norway’s Kristoffer Reitan has also enjoyed a landmark year. Graduating from the HotelPlanner Tour’s Road to Mallorca Rankings, he claimed his maiden DP World Tour victory at the Soudal Open, becoming only the second Norwegian to win on the circuit. With four additional top-five finishes, the 27-year-old now sits third in the Race to Dubai and will make his debut at Jumeirah Golf Estates.
“Every player aspires to reach this tournament,” Reitan said. “It is recognition of a strong season, and I am excited to finish the year in Dubai.”

Li and Hatton bring proven pedigree

China’s Haotong Li returned to the winner’s circle in dramatic fashion, holing a decisive birdie putt on the final green to capture the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters – his fourth DP World Tour title and first since 2022. He will return to Dubai for his first appearance in the season finale since that same year.
“I have great memories of winning in Dubai in 2018,” Li commented. “I look forward to creating more this November.”

England’s Tyrrell Hatton added further to his distinguished record by winning the Hero Dubai Desert Classic earlier this season, equalling the record for most Rolex Series victories with his fifth title. The Ryder Cup regular has since secured his place in Luke Donald’s European side for a fourth consecutive appearance.
“Dubai has always been a special place for me,” Hatton noted. “Starting the season with a win at the Desert Classic was fantastic, and I am eager to conclude the year at the DP World Tour Championship.”

The Finish

With McIlroy, Penge, Reitan, Li and Hatton all confirmed, golf fans in Dubai can look forward to an outstanding finale to the 2025 season, as the Race to Dubai reaches its climax and one player lifts the Harry Vardon Trophy under the spotlight of the Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates.
