Xerox Emirates supporting season-ending golf in the Middle East

Xerox Emirates, a long-term supporter of golf in the Middle East, will again play a key role in the tenth edition of the DP World Tour Championship at Jumeriah Golf Estates as well as supporting the inaugural Ras Al Khaimah Challenge Tour Grand Final being staged at Al Hamra Golf Club.

Xerox Emirates has taken on the role of providing key equipment and support for the US$8 million tournament on four previous occasions, underlying the company’s support of golf following many years of providing similar backing for other International events.

The DP World Tour Championship, which will take place from Wednesday 15 to Sunday 18, November, will once again see Xerox Emirates act as the Official Print Document Management Sponsor.

The sponsorship includes the provision of the latest multifunction devices and world class service support to the Official Media Centre, the Championship Office, the TV Production Office, the Rules Office and the Chief Marshal’s Office from which thousands of tournament critical documents are produced every day by officials and staff as the top 60 players take on the iconic Earth course.

“We are delighted to once again be supporting the DP World Tour Championship as the Official Print Document Management sponsor and look forward to embarking on a new venture with the Ras Al Khaimah Challenge Tour Grand Final,” said Xerox Emirates General Manager Chris Govier.

“Our commitment is to deliver the high quality of products and services required, so tournament officials can focus on the on-course action while we take care of the document and information flow behind the scenes.”

In addition to Xerox Emirates’ support of the DP World Tour Championship,  this will be the first time the company is also the Official Document Management Sponsor of the Ras Al Khaimah Challenge Tour Grand Final, which will see the top 45 golfers on the European Challenge Tour go head-to-head in a bid to seal one of 15 coveted European Tour cards for next season from October 31 to November 3 at Al Hamra Golf Club.

“The name of Xerox Emirates is now firmly established as one of the key supporters of golf in the region and we are delighted to have the company on board for the tenth edition of the DP World Tour Championship as well as acting as an Official Document Management Sponsor of the Ras Al Khaimah Challenge Tour Grand Final,” said Nick Tarratt, European Tour International Director, Dubai Office. “Even though a lot of work is done digitally, we always rely on a steady flow of paper information regarding scores, facts and figures and daily weather reports at both tournaments.

“It is vital that this part of the tournament functions smoothly and we know we are in safe hands with Xerox Emirates as they have provided an efficient back-of-house operation in previous tournaments. The Ras Al Khaimah Challenge Tour Grand Final will also reap these rewards as they welcome Xerox Emirates for the first time.”
