Okay folks, you can all relax now, the breaking news you’ve been waiting for confirmation on appears to have been confirmed…World No.10 Bubba Watson, he of the pink driver fame, will play the 2017 season with a coloured Volvik ball and will wear the company’s logo on his shirt sleeve.

The 38 year old two-time Masters champion previously played a Titleist Pro V1x but he’s set to become the Volvik’s biggest ambassador after being impressed by their performance at the World Long Drive Championship.

bubba-ball“I took five balls out and hit all kinds of shots,” Watson said. “Teddy [caddie Ted Scott] bought some and tested them as well. And we couldn’t come up with anything wrong with them. Then it comes down to the fun factor—how could you not want a colored ball when you have a colored driver.”

The model he will use is called the White Color S4, which ironically, was previously only available in white but the company has reportedly had some pink ones made for him and has got them on the USGA’s conforming list.
