WATCH: Jordan Smith wins a new car for himself and caddie with ace at Scottish Open

There’s bound to be plenty of celebrations in North Berwick this evening for 2016 Ras Al Khaimah Golf Challenge champion Jordan Smith and caddie Sam Matton after the two-time DP World Tour winner aced the 17th to get win TWO new Genesis electric cars.

Tournament sponsor, Genesis, announced earlier this week that the first golfer during the tournament to make a hole in one would win the new Genesis Electrified GV70, a stylish and sophisticated SUV for himself while the caddie would take home a new all-electric Genesis GV60, a sleek, athletic cross over vehicle.

Smith’s tee shot on the 193-yard par 3 found the perfect hollow with his ball trickling down to the hole before dropping, which sparked wild celebrations from the players, crowd and commentators.

As well as hitting the ace, Smith also finds himself inside the top ten of the leaderboard after 36 holes, although that could all change when the afternoon wave tee off later today.
