Established 1918
Established in 1918, the Moroccan National Tourist Office (MNTO) has served as a cornerstone of the country’s tourism industry for over a century. As a government institution, MNTO spearheads efforts to promote Morocco as a tourist destination. Their mission encompasses both promoting the Morocco tourism brand throughmarketing and communication, as well as driving sales development through trade activities, both domestically and internationally.
Morocco Has Major Appeal
With Major Championship winners and masterminds of golf course design such as Jack Nicklaus, Robert Trent Jones, Gary Player and Colin Montgomerie having all put their names to golf courses in Morocco and it is quickly becoming one of world’s premier golf destinations. This season, as part of the inaugural International Series, Clutch will deliver two flagship events in Morocco. Both tournaments in 2025 are to be staged at the highly ranked Al Houara GC in Tangier (ranked the fifth best course in Africa, and second in Morocco).
As well as becoming The Official Tourism Partner, Visit Morocco will also title partner, the all-new “Morocco: Kingdom of Light Series”, a new and exciting feature on the tour consisting of four signature UK events at four prestigious venues on the Clutch Pro Tour schedule; Heythrop Park, Brocket Hall, South Staffs and Hever Castle.
45 Golf Courses To Choose From
Meryem Bennouna, Head of Visit Morocco UK, said: “Partnering with Clutch Pro will raise awareness of Morocco as a premier golf destination among golfers from the UK, Republic of Ireland, and beyond. With nearly 45 diverse golf courses—coastal, desert, and forest layouts—Morocco offers year-round sunshine and is just a short flightaway. This series and wider partnership, spanning nearly 30 tournaments, will put Morocco on the radar of more golfers looking for their next destination.”
The series will heighten the focus on Morocco with the events being named after the Moroccan cities of Tangier, Rabat, Marrakech and Agadir. Not only will this collaboration showcase Morocco as a golfing destination, but it will also hold considerable significance to the members of Clutch Pro Tour with increased incentives distributed across the Morocco-Kingdom of Light Series.
