Tiger Woods: Rory McIlroy will ‘definitely’ win the Masters

Tiger Woods has stated Rory McIlroy will “definitely” win the Masters before the Northern Irishman retires.

Woods, who has won at Augusta National five times himself, believes the current World No. 2 has everything needed to win a Green Jacket.

When asked about McIlroy’s chances of finally completing the career Grand Slam, Woods responded: “He will, it’s just a matter of time.

“He has the talent, he has the game, he has all the tools to win here.

“A lot of things have to happen to win at this golf course, a lot of things have to go right.

“I think Rory has shown over he years that he’s learned how to play this golf course.

“You just have to understand how to play it. He’s been there. Last year he made a great run, put himself there, but I think it’s just a matter of time.

“Whether it’s this year or next, or whenever it comes. He will get it done and he will have a career Grand Slam.

“It’s just that what year it will be. It will definitely happen.”

The Masters is set to being this Thursday, April 6 at Augusta National with Scottie Scheffler the defending champion.
