Tiger Woods is set to team up with his son Charlie once again at the upcoming PNC Championship in Orlando.
The 36-hole exhibition tournament, which features professional golfers competing alongside family members, is scheduled for next week.
Although Woods, who turns 49 later this month, has not competed since July’s Open Championship – where he missed the cut for the third consecutive major – this event marks his fifth appearance at the annual showcase.
The 15-time Major champion has been recovering from back surgery performed in September, and earlier this month he acknowledged that he isn’t yet “tournament ready” for full-scale competition.
He was also recently given access to all Signature Events next season after the PGA Tour Policy Board sanctioned a new “Lifetime Achievement exemption category”.
The PNC Championship offers the unique allowance of golf carts, enabling players to navigate the course with less strain. Last year, Woods and his son finished tied for fifth, following a runner-up performance in 2021.
The defending champions, Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, are set to return to the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club to defend their title.
Other notable pairings include Vijay Singh and his son Qass, as well as LPGA star Nelly Korda, who will join forces with her father Petr.
The event promises a mix of seasoned legends and rising stars, all showcasing the bonds of family through the game of golf.
