Rahm has ‘six or seven’ players in mind for next LIV Golf signing

Jon Rahm revealed he has a few different players in mind to join his Legion XII team for the next LIV Golf season.

The Spaniard’s team, which finished second in the season-long standings this year, were cut from four players to three after Kieran Vincent was relegated from the league following a disappointing season for the Zimbabwean

The two-time Major winner will welcome back Tyrell Hatton and Caleb Surrat to the team next season, while the hunt is already under way for a fourth player ahead of the season-opening event in Riyadh next February.

“I still don’t have a player who’s already signed but we have six or seven in mind,” Rahm told Golf Sin Etiquetas.

Has Rahm qualified for the DP World Tour Championship?

While Rahm didn’t go any further in revealing who they might be, both Hideki Matsuyama and Viktor Hovland have been rumoured to join the breakaway circuit in recent years.

Greg Norman, the league’s CEO, earlier this year told reporters: “We’ve been trying to get Hideki Matsuyama. I don’t mind admitting that. When Hideki won in LA, what’s the first thing I did? I said, “Congratulations, Hideki. I’m proud of you, mate.”

With LIV Golf wrapping up their season last month, Rahm has switched back to the DP World Tour, where he will play his fourth regular event of the season this week at the Andalucía Masters, ensuring he will retain his membership and remain eligible for the Ryder Cup.
