Nelly Korda reflects on her incredible 2024 season

Nelly Korda has firmly established herself as the standout star of 2024, securing seven wins, including a Major championship, and solidifying her position at the top of the world rankings.

In addition to her individual success, Korda played a crucial role in the United States’ victory at the Solheim Cup. Representing her country, she helped Stacy Lewis’ team win three points, leading them to reclaim the trophy in front of a home crowd in Virginia, US.

Reflecting on her remarkable season, Korda shared her feelings about the year’s accomplishments: “Motivated definitely, and just excited and proud of how this year went. Never in a million years would I have thought last year, 365 days ago, I would be here with seven wins in one season and another major championship.

“But I’m proud of the way I played this year, proud of the way I bounced back after the middle of the year to win in Tampa. And, yeah, just motivated and eager to get next year going again.”

For many, Korda’s achievements have been among the best in the sport. At just 26 years old, she has a long career ahead of her. Yet, despite the success on the course, Korda’s most cherished moment of the year happened off it.

“Honestly not even golf,” she said when asked for her highlight. “It’s becoming auntie to Greyson. Seeing him grow and seeing that bond him and Jess share and her family, it’s been amazing to see.

“It puts life in perspective, and makes life a little bit more fun knowing we have people at home cheering us on and have a smile on our face no matter how our day went.”

With her incredible season, Korda is undoubtedly one of the sport’s brightest stars.
