A host of a UAE-based players are set to battle it out for a spot at the 152nd Open Championship, including the likes of Joshua Grenville-Wood and Garrick Porteous.
The final Major of the year is set to take place at Royal Troon in Scotland from July 18-21, with Final Qualifying scheduled for July 2 across four venues in the UK.
There are 288 golfers competing in the upcoming Final Qualifiers with a minimum of 16 places available for the best finishers.
UAE golfer Grenville Wood will play in the 36-hole event at Burnham & Berrow which will also include Ryder Cup star Justin Rose and LIV Golf player Abraham Ancer.
The 26-year-old has enjoyed some good results so far in 2024 including a T-2 finish at the Delhi Challenge, and if he was to qualify, he would be making his first Major appearance.
Also chasing down an Open spot is Porteous who moved to the UAE last September and is now a member of Trump International Golf Club.
The 34-year-old will tee it up at Royal Cinque Ports, and he will be confident of getting the job done have played in two previous Open Championships.
Fellow Dubai residents Rafa Cabrera Bello and Ewen Ferguson are set for the qualifier at Dundonald Links, with the former famously winning the 2017 Scottish Open at the same venue.
Also on the quest for another Major appearance is new Dubai resident Richard Mansell who will be playing at West Lancashire as he looks to secure his third ever Open Championship start.
