Fleetwood Looking For Another Early Win In Dubai

Tommy Fleetwood, who won his seventh DP World Tour title at the Dubai Invitational in January, will make his 14th consecutive appearance on the Majlis Course next year and Dubai resident is aiming for more success in the United Arab Emirates, following back-to-back titles in Abu Dhabi in 2017 and 2018.

“I always enjoy starting my season in the Middle East and having played the Hero Dubai Desert Classic every year since I came out on Tour, it’s become a tournament that I love,” said the Englishman who won the Silver Medal at this year’s Olympic Games in Paris. “I’m looking forward to teeing it up close to home in front of friends and family once again.”

More Than Legendary Golf

Simon Corkill, Executive Tournament Director of Hero Dubai Desert Classic, commented: “Our tagline for the 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic is ‘More Than Legendary Golf’ because we strive to create memorable experiences for fans both on and off the course. We’re thrilled to welcome world-class players of the calibre of Tommy Fleetwood, who will join an exceptional field headlined by Rory McIlroy. Alongside the thrilling golf, we’re excited to introduce this brand-new ticket experience situated at a prime social spot overlooking the 16th green. It’s the perfect place for fans to come together, enjoy fantastic food and beverages, and immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere that makes our tournament truly unique.”

Iconic Event

The Hero Dubai Desert Classic is the oldest golf competition in the Middle East and next year’s event will be the 36th edition of the tournament.

Established in 1989, the Hero Dubai Desert Classic is a key fixture on the DP World Tour and a part of the esteemed Rolex Series, instrumental in introducing golf to the Middle East and producing some of the sport’s most memorable moments. The 2025 event will mark its second consecutive year being GEO Certified®, having become the only tournament to do so in the Middle East and on the DP World Tour Rolex Series.
