Fleetwood and Lowry Lead Star-Studded Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship Line-Up

European Ryder Cup heroes Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry are the latest big names confirmed for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, taking place from November 6–9 at Yas Links.

The duo join an elite line-up featuring Rory McIlroy, Ludvig Åberg, Matt Fitzpatrick, Tyrrell Hatton, Rasmus Højgaard, Robert MacIntyre, and vice-captain Alex Noren for the DP World Tour Play-Offs opener on Yas Island.

Fleetwood Returns to Abu Dhabi in Red-Hot Form

World No.5 Fleetwood heads to the UAE in top form after winning the DP World India Championship with a brilliant final-round 65.

The two-time Abu Dhabi HSBC Champion (2017, 2018) has enjoyed a career-defining season, highlighted by his maiden PGA TOUR victory and FedExCup triumph.

He became only the second Englishman to lift the season-long trophy, following Justin Rose, after an emotional win at the TOUR Championship.

Fleetwood also starred in Europe’s historic Ryder Cup victory at Bethpage Black, winning four of his five matches to top the team’s points list.

“It’s always special to play at home in the UAE,” said Fleetwood. “Yas Links is a great course with an incredible atmosphere. Starting the Play-Offs in front of family and friends gives me extra motivation to finish the season on a high.”

Lowry Eyes Another UAE Triumph

Lowry returns to Abu Dhabi, the site of his memorable 2019 victory, which set up his later triumph at The Open Championship.

The Irishman played a crucial role at the 2025 Ryder Cup, securing the half-point that clinched Europe’s famous win at Bethpage Black.

“Abu Dhabi has always been a great place to play golf,” said Lowry. “I can’t wait to be back at Yas Links. The Play-Offs are always exciting, and I’ll be giving everything to finish the year strongly against the world’s best.”

The Start of the DP World Tour Play-Offs

The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship marks the first event of the DP World Tour’s season-ending Play-Offs, staged by Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

The top 70 players on the Race to Dubai will compete for a place among the final 50 advancing to Dubai.
