Fan Frustration Grows Over RBC Heritage Scheduling

Heavy storms at the RBC Heritage have delayed Scottie Scheffler from clinching another victory. The event could not be completed within regulation time and is due to be concluded later today, which has angered many golf fans.

The World No.1 is five shots clear at -20 with just three holes to play at Harbour Town. The chasing pack, tied in second place at -15, includes US Open Champion Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay, J.T. Poston, and Sahith Theegala. Theegala, paired with Scheffler, is the only realistic threat to The Masters Champion as the others are either in the clubhouse or have just one hole to play.

A sideline story gaining momentum is the frustration among fans directed at the PGA TOUR for not starting the final round earlier to prevent a Monday finish.

The PGA TOUR has a team of meteorological experts who track weather fronts with pinpoint accuracy. Many believe the tournament could have concluded during regular play.

The RBC Heritage’s final round will resume Monday at 8 a.m. ET.
