The Official World Golf Ranking is getting back underway next week after almost three months off, with the PGA Tour and Korn Ferry Tours both hosting tournaments.
However, with the European Tour not resuming until the end of July with the new UK Swing, some European pros have reacted angrily to the news on social media.
Frenchman Mike Lorenzo-Vera said:
What an unfair decision ! Well done @OWGRltd !!! Thanks alot !!! 👏

and he also added:
The facts are no other Tour is restarting. The fields of the PGA Tour is not the top 156 world ranking players. So it’s not fair. And it’s the WORLD RANKING !!! What do you don’t understand in the word WORLD ?

Seven-time European Tour winner Bernd Wiesberger responded,
Agreed! Either all Tours are playing for points or none! https://t.co/DqqMUySvuh

Australian stalwart Scott Hend, who has won 15 times as a pro, was also against the decision for the World Ranking Points to restart.
It’s amazing it wasn’t just frozen until we all start playing again🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤯🤯⛳🏌️♂️

Matt Fitzpatrick will be competing next week on the PGA Tour and earning points but still agrees that it’s not a fair decision for his fellow competitors on the European Tour and on other tours around the world.
Very unfair, can’t understand this! https://t.co/Iw0rRXkVdb
