Chiara Noja: I have so much to look forward to on the schedule

By Chiara Noja

My tee-time today was at 10.29 am for the final round of the $1,000,000 ARAMCO Team Series – London held at Centurion Club, St Albans, England on the Ladies’ European Tour.

The second round was completed this morning, including the team event, and the draw was then published for today with the cut falling at seven over par.

The weather today was again cold and the wind was still blustery – but it was perhaps the best day of the week for golf, or I am just getting used to it?

I shot a level par final round of 73 to go along with my first two rounds of 73 and 74 to finish on one over par for 54 holes and in tied 11th when I marked my card.

I did not play my best golf either today or this week, I struggled with my driver all day. I made a couple of birdie two’s in the first few holes. I finished strongly with birdies on 16 and 18 and tried to pull it together at the end.

I have had so many 11th and 12th place finishes this year, but I feel I still have more in the tank to improve in a few areas, so I must take all the positives and stay healthy.

Nellie Korda (US) looks like she will pick up the trophy here with just a couple of holes to play. She is a strong player, currently Number Two in the ROLEX Women’s World Rankings, and looks to be back to her best following some injury issues.

Moving forward my first Major event is The Amundi Evian Championship in a couple of weeks in France. I have played the golf course before, which will be an advantage.

I am still not sure if I will be going to Spain this coming week for the tournament.

My golfing schedule sees some big events coming up over the next few weeks.

It will all depend on the Costa del Sol Ranking after this week, to see if I get into these events – especially the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open and the AIG Women’s Open, those two events boasting a collective prize fund of $8.8 million.

I have so much to look forward to in the next section of this year’s Ladies European Tour. Fingers crossed I will get into all the big ones.

I am currently eighth on the LET Race to Costa del Sol Ranking having played 10 events this year on LET and one in the US on LPGA. I am hoping my Rankings will at least stay where they are.

I am so excited with what is ahead of me.

Thanks for all your messages and notes wishing me all the best this week. I have enjoyed writing this Daily Diary for Worldwide Golf.

See you all soon, either in Dubai or perhaps on the Ladies European Tour!
