Dustin Johnson Swing Analysis | By Malcolm Young

American powerhouse Dustin Johnson’s epic swing returned to our television screens at the TaylorMade Driving Relief, where he and Rory McIlroy defeated Matthew Wolff and Rickie Fowler while raising $5.5 million dollars to help the battle against COVID-19.

The images in the video were taken during the match at the Seminole Golf Club and here Johnson’s unique swing is analysed by UAE PGA Professional Malcolm Young.

Malcolm talks about Dustin’s forward press take away, his big hip and shoulder rotation, the extension in the lead arm, the bowed wrist at the top of the swing and how he matches it with an aggressive downward spiral, delivering the club on a path that allows plenty of space after impact to extend his forearms which starts the ball left of the target allowing for a ‘DJ power cut’.
