Get your shoulder muscles working correctly for more power at impact!
Too many students open the shoulder early and never get the downforce or the club into the correct delivery position. This leads to inconsistency and a lack of power no matter the level of the golfer.
This lead arm drill is a great way to ensure that the shoulder muscles work down and put the club into the correct position before the body opens to square the face at impact.
When doing the drill, it’s nice to put your hand on the lead shoulder to feel the shoulders load up as you make an upswing.
The beauty of this exercise is that you easily learn how to draw or fade the ball dependent on how you move after the shoulder sits down into position.
