UAE Cup Returns with Expanded Format and Global Ambitions

The 2025 UAE Cup will feature an expanded format with Men’s and Women’s Individual Stroke Play Championships, offering major playing opportunities on the global stage:

  • Men’s Champion – Two Challenge Tour starts

  • Women’s Champion – One Ladies European Tour start

  • Leading Junior Boy & Girl – Invitations to the Dubai Junior Desert Classic (January 2026)

A new team event will also debut, with each participating country’s federation nominating one male and one female amateur to represent their nation. This inclusive format underlines the UAE Cup’s mission to unite cultures, showcase emerging talent, and celebrate the international spirit of the game.

“The UAE Cup represents the very best of what golf stands for – competition, friendship, and opportunity,” said General Abdulla Alhashmi, President of the Emirates Golf Federation. “Through this event, we continue to open international pathways for players while showcasing the UAE’s unique culture and hospitality to the world.”

Beyond the fairways, the UAE Cup delivers a rich cultural experience, allowing international guests to discover Al Ain’s heritage and the UAE’s world-renowned hospitality.

The tournament is powered by Emirates NBD, with Etihad Airways as the Official Airline Partner and additional support from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, reflecting the UAE’s position as one of the world’s most forward-thinking golf destinations.
