Get Set For The Pan Arab Golf Championship At Al Zora Golf & Yacht Club

The Emirates Golf Federation in conjunction with the Arab Golf Federation is hosting the 43rd Men’s and 2nd Senior Pan Arab Golf Championship at the Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club, where 13 nations and over 80 players will compete this year’s championships.

 

 

Representing team UAE in the Senior Division in the Pan Arab Golf Championship will be Saeed Malik, Salem Dasmal, and Jamal bin Marghoob. In addition, General Abdullah Alhashmi and Mohammed Darwish will be competing in the Individual Category.

For the Men’s Team, Captain Ahmad Skaik, Sam Mullane, Jonathan Selvaraj and Rayan Ahmed will be teeing it up for UAE.

 

Pan Arab Golf Championship Categories

Thirteen different nations will be represented by a team of four players in the Men’s Division and three players for the Senior Division, additionally individuals will be competing for in the individual category. The championship is run over three rounds for the Men’s Division and two rounds for the Senior Division with the lowest scores (of three in the Men’s Division and of two int he Senior Division) counting towards the team score. The winning nation and player with the lowest gross scores will be declared the Arab Champion.

 

Challenging Conditions At Al Zorah

After a summer full of events and international travel, both the Men’s and Senior UAE teams will be looking to compete successfully on home soil at the Jack Nicklaus designed Al Zorah Golf Club. The course will play friendly off the tee but challenging around the greens. The approach shots will play a key factor, with the winds coming off the mangroves and making yardage calculations challenging.
