Amateur star Rayhan Thomas to compete with the stars at the Saudi International

Dubai-based starlet Rayhan Thomas has been handed one of four invite spots for the inaugural Saudi International on the European Tour in two week’s time.

This means that Thomas, who plays out of Dubai Creek G&YC, will tee it up in consecutive weeks among the very best in the world after previously being invited to play in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club, which gets underway next week.

So after competing with the likes of Sergio Garcia, Bryson DeChambeau and Tommy Fleetwood in Dubai, he will then travel to the Royal Greens G&CC in King Abdullah Economic City to test his skills against the three top players in world golf at present – Justin Rose, Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson, with current Masters champion Patrick Reed also stated to play.

The 19-year-old Indian has previously played in the last two editions of the Dubai Desert Classic, finishing 60th on his debut in 2017 and missing the cut last year and made his first appearance in a European Tour event at the 2016 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.
