The GCC will host six DP World Tour tournaments in 2027, with Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bahrain and Qatar featuring prominently on a global schedule comprising at least 42 events across 24 countries.
The Middle East will once again play a major role on the DP World Tour in 2027, with six tournaments scheduled across the GCC and the UAE hosting three of the season’s five prestigious Rolex Series events.
Four consecutive weeks of golf in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bahrain and Qatar will open the Gulf programme in January and February, before the Tour returns to the UAE in November for the season-ending DP World Tour Play-Offs.
Four Weeks of DP World Tour Golf in the Gulf
The 2027 Middle East swing begins with the Team Cup at Abu Dhabi Golf Resort from January 15-17, bringing team match play to the UAE at the start of the calendar year.
Attention then switches to Dubai and Emirates Golf Club for the 38th Hero Dubai Desert Classic, taking place from January 21-24.
One of the Middle East’s most established sporting events, the Hero Dubai Desert Classic will also be the first Rolex Series tournament of 2027.
The Tour then heads to Bahrain for the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship at Royal Golf Club from January 28-31.
The four-week run concludes with the Qatar Masters at Doha Golf Club from February 3-6, completing the Middle East leg of the International Swing.
Race to Dubai Finale Returns to the UAE
The DP World Tour will return to the UAE in November for the climax of the 2027 Race to Dubai.
The DP World Tour Play-Offs begin with the Abu Dhabi Championship at Yas Links from November 4-7.
The season then concludes at Jumeirah Golf Estates with the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai, from November 11-14.
The Earth Course will once again provide the stage on which the Race to Dubai champion is crowned.
UAE to Host Three Rolex Series Events in 2027
The UAE’s position on the DP World Tour schedule is further strengthened by hosting three of the five Rolex Series tournaments in 2027.
The Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Abu Dhabi Championship and DP World Tour Championship, Dubai will all carry Rolex Series status.
The remaining two Rolex Series events are the Genesis Scottish Open, scheduled for July 8-11, and the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club from September 23-26.
DP World Tour Announces 42-Event Global Schedule
Across the wider 2027 DP World Tour schedule, a minimum of 42 tournaments across 24 countries will count towards the Race to Dubai.
Three historic tournaments also return to the schedule: the Hong Kong Open, Deutsche Bank Singapore Open and Open de Portugal | Cascais-Lisboa.
The Hong Kong and Singapore tournaments will be co-sanctioned with the Asian Tour as part of the new tri-partite partnership involving the DP World Tour, Asian Tour and PGA TOUR agreed in July.
There are also revised dates for the Amgen Irish Open, FedEx Open de France and BMW PGA Championship due to the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in Ireland, which takes place from September 17-19.
