With just one week to go, anticipation is building ahead of the Dubai Invitational as a stellar field prepares to tee it up at Dubai Creek Resort from January 15–18. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood will return to defend his title alongside five-time Major champion Rory McIlroy, headlining one of the strongest fields assembled in the event’s short history.
Major champions and Ryder Cup pedigree
The opening event of the Race to Dubai’s International Swing will welcome two former Masters champions making their tournament debuts. Patrick Reed, the 2018 winner at Augusta National, and Danny Willett, who claimed the Green Jacket in 2016, add further Major-winning pedigree.
Three-time Major champion Padraig Harrington is also confirmed, the Irishman having secured back-to-back Open Championships in 2007 and 2008 before lifting the PGA Championship later that same year.

Home hopes and Tour winners
Dubai resident Paul Waring will make just his second start since July as he continues his comeback from injury, eager to shine on home soil following his Abu Dhabi Championship victory. He is joined by 2023 DP World Tour Championship winner Nicolai Højgaard, alongside a deep roster of DP World Tour winners including Matteo Manassero, Tom McKibbin, David Puig, Thorbjørn Olesen, Matt Wallace, Eugenio Chacarra, Niklas Nørgaard and UAE star Adrian Otaegui.
They line up with previously announced names such as Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, Ryan Fox and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen.
More than just world-class golf
Away from the fairways, the Dubai Invitational promises a full festival atmosphere. The Championship Village will feature global street food favourites including DRVN Pizza and Mammacita, while Dubai Creek Resort and Park Hyatt Dubai offer premium dining at venues such as NOÉPE, The Thai Kitchen and Boardwalk.
Families are well catered for with a dedicated Kids Zone and interactive Chipping Challenge, while general admission remains free. Fans can also upgrade to Premium Hospitality options, including the Championship Chalet and Clubhouse experiences, offering five-star catering and prime views of the action.
The Dubai Invitational launches the International Swing and is played alongside a three-day Pro-Am, with Sunday reserved for professionals only. For full details, visit www.dpworldtour.com.
