LIV Golf Secures Landmark ITV Deal for Free-to-Air UK Coverage

LIV Golf has bolstered its global broadcast presence with a major new partnership, securing free-to-air television coverage in the UK via ITV.

Following its recent deal with Fox Sports in the United States, LIV Golf’s latest agreement ensures that fans across Britain will have unprecedented access to the breakaway circuit’s 2025 season. The coverage kicks off today with round two of the season-opening LIV Golf Riyadh, marking a new era for televised golf in the UK.

UK Coverage

ITVX will serve as the primary platform, offering live and uninterrupted coverage of every round from every tournament. In addition, selected events will be broadcast live on ITV1 and ITV4, bringing LIV Golf to a wider audience than ever before. A dedicated weekly highlights show, produced by LIV Golf, will also air on ITV4, ensuring fans can catch all the key moments from each event.

Global Strategy

Ron Wechsler, LIV Golf’s Senior Vice President of Broadcast Partnerships and Programming Strategy, hailed the deal as a significant step forward:

“Our partnership with ITV represents a major milestone as we strive to bring LIV Golf to every corner of the world. With a premier sports broadcaster like ITV, we can ensure that more fans than ever will be able to access the excitement of the LIV Golf experience and connect with the world-class players, teams, and stories that make us a truly standalone global sports league.”

Free to Watch

ITV’s Director of Sport, Niall Sloane, echoed the enthusiasm, adding:

“This is an exciting time for LIV Golf as we look ahead to the innovative 2025 season. This partnership delivers free-to-air coverage for fans in the UK, and we are delighted to welcome LIV Golf to ITV Sport.”

The announcement follows a series of high-profile broadcast agreements for LIV Golf, including deals with Coupang Play in South Korea and Movistar Plus+ in Spain. With ITV now on board, the rebel tour’s reach in the UK is set to expand dramatically, bringing its unique team format and star-studded fields to mainstream television audiences.
