Els and Hanson Take Lincoln DG Pro-Am Spoils

Team Els, winners of the recent 4-Man Stableford Lincoln DG Pro-Am played over the Fire course with club officials from Jumeirah Golf Estates.

The Lincoln DG Pro-Am Series returned to Jumeirah Golf Estates, this time taking on the challenge of the Fire course. A competitive field of 24 professionals and 86 amateurs battled it out in both the Pro-Am Team event and the Individual Strokeplay contest for the professionals.

Team Honours

Brendan Els, representing Jumeirah Golf Estates, once again proved his class by guiding his team to a sensational victory. Alongside Kevin Voegeli (12), Bradley Valentine (14), and Andrew Turnbull (12), Team Els amassed an impressive 95 Stableford points to secure top honours. This win marks back-to-back triumphs for Els’ team, following their recent success on the Earth course in September’s edition of the series.

Els told WorldWide Golf following the prize presentation, ‘Winning another team event at my home club at Jumeirah Golf Estates is a brilliant feeling. It’s a very special place here at Jumeirah Golf Estates, winning is just the cherry on-top of the already great privilege of being able to compete here, alongside our members.’

Completing The Podium

Connor Graham, the host pro from eGolf Megastore, and his Team: Chris Hoskin (15), Callum Smithson (10) and Daniel Hess (5), would have to settle for the runner-up team prize, with a score of 91 Stableford points. MVP star player of this team, Hoskin, scored an impressive 37 Stableford points on his own ball, with Graham shooting a one over-par 73.

James Jackson’s Team of Chris Deacon (General Manager of Al Tayer Motors), Marcus Samut and Dallen Olsen clinched the third-place prize for the day, following their steady round of 90 Stableford points.

Top Pro

In the professional ranks, Tom Hanson delivered a flawless performance, firing a superb round of 67 to claim the Individual Pro title by a commanding three-shot margin.

Freddie Price (Al Zorah Golf Club, Ajman) made a podium finish by finishing runner-up to Hanson with an impressive score of two under par, 70.

Price played well with five birdies in his round, three of which came in his first four holes.

Kieren Pratt, the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) representative for the Emirates PGA, said post event, ‘It has been a pleasure to return to Jumeirah Golf Estates in our Lincoln DG Series. We thank our title sponsors Lincoln as well as Dubai Golf for supporting, in addition to all the pros and amateurs contributing to what has been a fun day for all on the Fire course at Jumeirah Golf Estates.’
