Edoardo Molinari Shines Bright at Q School 2025: Heartbreak for Rayhan Thomas!

What a rollercoaster! The nail-biting 108-hole DP World Tour Q-School marathon kicked off last Friday but came crashing down in gut-wrenching fashion after Wednesday’s finale was postponed thanks to a brutal weather battering in Tarragona, Spain.

With only the top 21 from a field of 156 players bagging full DP World Tour cards for the 2025 season, emotions ran wild at the INFITIUM resort on Thursday.

In a stunning comeback, Edoardo Molinari, a three-time DP World Tour champ and Luke Donald’s right-hand man from the Ryder Cup, snatched his playing rights back after a disappointing 2024. The Italian clinched victory in the six-round showdown, finishing one shot ahead at a jaw-dropping 29-under-par.

It was a brutal end for Dubai’s, Rayhan Thomas, was oh-so-close to securing full playing rights for next season on the DP World Tour, but despite a solid round of 68, he fell short by just two shots after an exhausting six rounds.

Big Name Casualties 

Q School’s heartbreak didn’t stop there! Eddie Pepperell, the beloved Englishman, was in the mix throughout his final round, but a missed eagle putt on the 18th left him one agonising shot short of the mark.

While Pepperell will still have some chances in 2025, he’s lost his fully exempt status – a bitter pill to swallow for the  .

Other notable names who’ll be missing out on full membership next season include tour winners Stephen Gallagher, Marc Warren, and Chris Wood.
