Fleetwood set for replacement caddie at the 2024 Masters

Tommy Fleetwood’s long-time caddie Ian Finnis is set to miss the Masters this year due to being unwell.

Together, Fleetwood and Finnis have won six DP World Tour titles together and formed a formidable partnership both on and off the course.

This week marks Fleetwood’s eighth appearance at the Masters and it’s also the first time he will be without his usual bag man.

“He’s not been well all year,” revealed Fleetwood on Wednesday. “At the moment he’s at home trying to recover and get the right treatment. Hopefully he’ll be back out sooner rather than later.

“It’s definitely different being without him. Like we’ve been together every tournament for the last eight years pretty much. So, yeah, we just wish him all the best.

“The sooner he can get better, the better for all of us. Everybody has been asking about him, which has been great. I know he’ll be desperate to come back out here as soon as possible.”

Fleetwood is instead using a local Augusta caddie, Gray Moore, but did also admit that Finnis is more than just a caddie for him out on the course.

“He’s a pretty big presence,” continued the Ryder Cup star. “It’s definitely very, very different.

“Last week was weird just going out there and doing I guess so many things that he would do around.

“There is definitely a comfort, huge comfort level when he’s out on the course with me.”

Fleetwood tees off alongside Dustin Johnson and Collin Morikawa in Group 30 at 10pm UAE time (2pm local).
