Chiara Noja regains top spot on LETAS Order of Merit

Dubai resident Chiara Noja claimed solo third at the Trust Golf Links Series to move back to the summit of the Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS) Order of Merit and a step closer to securing Ladies European Tour playing privileges for next season.

The German born star shot a final round of  two-over 75 at Ramside Hall Golf Club, finishing eight strokes behind champion Chanettee Wannasaen.

18-year-old Wannasaen started her round with a birdie on the first hole after which she added two more and dropped three strokes on the front nine to make the turn in 37 shots.

The Thai talent had one more bogey on the 11th hole and swiftly erased that with a birdie on the 12th to finish the round at even-par and secure her maiden win in Europe.

“It means a lot to win in Europe and I am very happy with my game. I felt really confident today and I knew I could make it,” said the Thai LPGA member.

The LETAS’ Trust Golf Links Series continues next week at The Musselburgh Golf Club.
