The DP World Tour Championship is slowly approaching – less than a month to be precise. This means 50 of the top players in Europe will arrive at Jumeriah Golf Estates for the DP World Tour Championship. However, looking at the European Tour Race to Dubai Rankings, some of your favourite golfers might not make the cut so let’s have a look who’s on the ‘bubble’…

The top 50 players in the Race to Dubai Rankings will contest the season-ending US$8 million DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai from November 21-24 where US$3 million will be up for grabs for the winner, making it the richest first prize in world tournament golf.
Heres a few of the players that haven’t booked their flights to Dubai just yet:
Lee Westwood, who won the first ever DP World Tour Championship in 2009, is currently in 46th position, meaning if he has a bad run over the next few weeks, his place in the European Tour season finale is at risk. Pray for Westy.
Sebastian Soderberg, who recently won the Omega European Masters in Switzerland, is living on the edge in 49th position. Winning a European Tour event certainly doesn’t guarantee you a spot in the final. Thats a tough pill to swallow.
Your favourite Social Media comic, and tour pro Eddie Pepperell, is playing with fire in 50th position. After winning two European Tour events last year, Pepperrell doesn’t seem to be up to his usual standard this year. On the other hand, he’s been a part of some great social media content for the European Tour. Hashtag, priorities…
Andrew Johnson – AKA ‘Beef’ is pushing hard to get in the top 50 of the Race to Dubai Rankings. It would be great to see Beef there in November with the top players of Europe after admitting this year about his battle with depression and other off-course challenges. Beef’s career low round of 62 at the Scottish Open sparked the love for the game for the Englishman and boosted him up the rankings. A couple more good finishes and he may just make the cut.
Nicolas Colsaerts revived his hopes of playing in the season-ending DP World Tour Championship after rocketing up the European Tour’s Race to Dubai Rankings with a first win in seven years at the Amundi Open de France. The Belgian, who last won at the Volvo World Match Play Championship in 2012, shoots from 114th to 53rd in the Rankings after collecting 460 Race to Dubai points. Mr Cool has evolved into Mr Hot recently!
With only four events left, it’s getting tense for the final stretch of the 2019 season.
