VIDEO: Senior Tour No.1 Broadhurst relishing Sharjah challenge

The eagerly anticipated Sharjah Senior Golf Masters gets underway this week from March 16-18 at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club as the European Senior Tour makes its debut in the emirate.

Entry to the event is free of charge and golf fans can expect high quality golf played in a unique friendly environment. The field includes no fewer than nine former Ryder Cup players as well as reigning Senior Tour No.1 Paul Broadhurst, who had the season dreams are made of last year when he won his first Major in his Senior Open Championship debut – a win that helped him scoop the John Jacobs Trophy for topping the Order of Merit.

He also won his first title in the US with victory at the Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach and went on to be named Rookie of the Year on the PGA Tour Champions.

Worldwide Golf caught up with the affable Englishman ahead of the opening event of the 2017 European Senior Tour season in Sharjah.
