Singh claims spot in Golden Ball Grand Final

Arjun Singh took home top prize after an impressive performance in the Jumeirah Golf Estates Members Medal last month, claiming a Golden Ball Grand Final spot in the process.

Forty five participants took part in the Golden Ball qualifier event but it was Singh who came out on top after carding a net 69, with Ornella Parigi finishing a close second.

“It was a pleasant surprise to hear that I had not only won the Members Medal but also claimed the Golden Ball place for my club,” Singh said.

“It was a hard round of golf with the weather being extremely trying,  both hot and humid. My goal for last three to four holes was to physically make it through the round by keeping my body hydrated and the mind focused. Overall, I am very happy with the win and the opportunity to represent my club in the Grand Final, especially since I only picked up playing this sport in May last year.”

Singh will now compete at Al Hamra in the Golden Ball Final on October 5 to try and claim a spot in the Ras Al Khaimah 2017 Golf Challenge Pro-Am, a unique opportunity for amateurs to mix with the Challenge Tour stars.
