Alan Bassnet scored 38 points to take the honours in Division ‘A’ of last month’s Monthly Mug, two strokes clear of Theodorus Scheepers. Bassnet, who plays off 9, was playing steadily but suffered a double bogey on his 15th hole. However, he bounced back with a birdie on the 16th which propelled him to victory. Robin Lusong topped Division ‘B’ while in Division ‘C’ Hendrick Joubert was the victor. The Ladies Division was won by Teresa Gow with a score of 30 points.
